I agree with Barbara's assessment. I would add that the interface is really ugly. It does come with source so you can clean it up a bit. The source is not OOP at all, which is a bit of a pain. I would recommend FoxFire. I think it's easier to use and has a lot more features. For example, outer joins are supported by FoxFire, but not by Query Maker. It doesn't seem like Strategic Edge has added any significant features to Query Maker in a few years so I wouldn't expect to get any features that aren't already there.
