>>Bruce, you were right ... it didn't help the runtimer error ... still getting it. I still think the .SCX/.SCT is corrupted. I may have to resort to Jeff's suggestion (in essence, recreating the whole damn form), but that could be messy and a major PITA, so that's my last resort. Next thing I'm gonna try is packing the .SCX, perhaps that will fix any memo errors.

>SCXs are packed automatically, so that's not likely to help. I would probably go back to what I was saying last night, try commenting out code/removing objects chunks at a time, on a copy of the form, until the error disappears...
You're right about that Bruce ... packing did not help.
One last comment before I do this (or what Jeff suggested) ... I still think there's corruption of the .SCX somehow. I don't think I mentioned this yet, but clicking on the form the first time from the project, brings it up ok. Then close it (no save prompt anymore .... thanks for that suggestion, Bruce), then click on it again in the project ....
BOOM!! Immediate C5!Does this ring any bells for anyone?
I guess I'll start messing with things while I await more replies ....
Thanks for all your help, everyone!
