Here is one that is probably easy for the rest but has me confused. I would like to have the exe in a directory separate from the rest of the program's files. I place the exe in a VFP_EXE directory where people can shortcut to with less of a possibility of messing up the data files. Anyhow I have the following lines of code in the program:

SET Default to g:\db\timecard
OPEN database g:\db\timecard\data\timesrch.dbc shared

If I run the exe from the VFP_EXE directory I get "Index does not match the table. Delete the index file and re-create the index." If I run the same exe from the g:\db\timecard directory (without re-indexing anything) it functions as designed without error. Why is that? Thanks.
