>I think that Vancouver, Montreal, Halifax and Toronto could all be hosts (and that is my preferred order) and I would give Vancouver the edge simply because it is so close to MS HQ.

I would agree that it would indeed be kinda nice to have one in Canada, even though I've never been to a Devcon (I have been to many other trade shows). While the only major canadian city I've been to is Toronto (went there on my first honeymoon which was over canadian Independence Day -- saw the fireworks and everything :> ). Toronto or Vancouver would be excellent choices for a conference in August -- MUCH better than Hotlanta (which I've been to in August). You gotta wonder what goes through peoples' minds to put a conference in the South in August when there are so many nice cities to the north that time of year.

(and realizing this is totally off-topic, I wish the US would learn a little from Canadian money. I love the idea of a dollar coin that doesn't look like a quarter, and different colored money so you can tell them apart at a quick glance). Having grown up in Southern Michigan, I remember many arguments with my current wife (who grew up in California and we were living in FL at the time) where she said that canadian money (even coins) isn't real money in the U.S. and isn't accepted here. Of course, when we moved to Michigan she was surprised that her postmaster told her that canadian coinage was accepted as legal tender. :> )

Too bad you guys haven't sported a decent hockey team in years. :) Or at least one that didn't move down here. (ala the Nordiques/Avs). hehehe.

Christopher, a die hard Wings fan who thinks they got gypped (jipped? sp?). THEY should have been the ones to get beaten by Dallas. :):):)
