We never had a revolution. July 1, 1867 is when the country was formed. We didn't have our own constitution (Charter of Rights and Freedoms) until the early 1980's. Heck we didn't even have our own flag until the 1960's.

For some reason Britian just wanted to let us go. Perhaps too cold. :-)
