You may be lucky on one front - there is a new dollar coin to be released in the US which will be colored similar to our (Canadian) dollar coin. At least that's what it looked like on TV. If memory is correct it will feature the (native) Indian lady who helped and impressed Lewis & Clark so much (won't dare try to spell her name).

As to the Wings, it was someone else's turn I guess. I had the feeling that NHL was bending over backwards to get the Leafs as far as they did get (watch the fur fly now).
