I am trying to install two modems in our NT 4 SP3 server. One is used for WinProxy for the internet and the other I am trying to use for WinFax Pro 9 to act as a fax server.

The first modem is a USR Sportster X2 and is configured in RAS.

The second is a PNP 56K V90 which installs itself as a serial controler on port 3.

All indications are that both modems are installed properly an working but when I attempt to address the second modem through WinFax it says the modem is in use by another process.

I have been getting some disturbing rumors that this configuration does not work on NT.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance
Terry
It is impossible to make programs idiot proof. Idiots are too cleaver.
