I've got 95 here, so it's not NT.
I'm not much of a hardware person. I can do things like install cards, but any more complicated and I'm lost. Software I'm pretty good at.
I understand wanting to be able to do your own thing on your computer at work, but I can understand the other side, too. My husband is tech support at a major company and I hear from him how users can screw up their computers by knowing just enough to be dangerous.

>Our home machine (the one with the "first-rate" card) has really changed my life. My husband (4th level network and hardware support) spent a lot of time researching compatible parts and we built it over Labor Day weekend. I had never done much with hardware before, and hadn't even installed software. (I worked at a place which insisted that only the network group could install
>software!!) So, since then I changed jobs too and can do a lot more of my own stuff at work now. Great chance to learn.

>My husband is pretty opinionated in his preferences (he's a Linux guy). All I know is that the graphics card (and the 100 MHZ USB) will give me 1600x1200 resolution with 32 bit true color if I want it.
