Check out IBM's Client Access Express. It contains IBM's latest OLEDB Provider for the AS400. I think you have to be at OS/400 V4R2 before you can use it. You might want to look at creating Browser based applications if you are going toward a WAN environment. I am currently rewriting our main VFP app as a 3-tier Browser app and the performance is better that the traditional 2-tier.

Here is the link to IBM: http://www.as400.ibm.com/clientaccess/capage.htm

>I routinely have to connect to our AS400 to bring data over such as employee information, BOM's and part information. I have been doing this through ODBC and have had pretty good succeess. Some of the applications I am creating are starting to roll out across the WAN now and their access time back to the 400 across the WAN is slow and the ODBC connection is not as reliable as I would like.
