I created a tool for this specific purpose. It works well for me but I cannot gaurantee it will work well for you... but you are welcome to the source for tweaking.

It works simply by selecteding/specifying the SCX and VCX and selecting the FROM Class and the TO Class and pressing a process button. The selections can be repeated for additional changes. Every time process is executed a numerically incremented backup set is created.

If you would be interested I can email the tool to you. I have considered posting to this forum but need a readme and some disclaimers which are not yet complete.
