Well, from what I understand, every sub-folder, or virtual directory is a seperate app, while being integrated into a "master" app which would be the root folder. If the only app you have is the root folder, then any session object, variable or what have you will be the same across any virtual directory or folder, unless a new session is started.

Anyhow, that's how I understand what you're trying to do, and I have done the same in the past and this worked for me.
