Sure it can...in the sense that the same thing works here (and on every newsgroup). The more people are watching what other people post, the better the chance a blunder will be caught by someone else.

Huh? I'm not sure where you're going with that? My interest is that in the theory of modernism each art form is truly an art form when it discovers its necessary and suffient means. When photography was new, it kept being used as painting. It wasn't until it was used _as_ photography that it became a Fine Art. Of course all that changes over time. But computers have been similarly unsatisfactory as an artistic medium, because it kept being used like a glorified crayon or bad musical appliance (see article by Brian Eno in the current issue of Utne Reader for an interesting take on that).

The way that computers will be an artistic medium is only barely emerging. ACK! I have to go to the airport! Aren't you sorry you asked? < bg >
