>Edgar,
> You probably did this, but this has worked for me when I have crashed a program in development leaving files locked by Netware. I completely shut down the computer for a minute or so, until Netware gets the idea I am no longer there. It then releases the lock on the files. Getting put of the application is never enough.
> Staying off for a minute or so is probably just superstition on my part since Netware should clear the lock as soon as I am gone. In fact, "Closing all files and logging in as a different user" should work, and would be faster, but it has failed me in the past.

>P.S. I hope your weekend made up for your Friday! :)
Thanx David,
I did recover after giving myself some down time (weekend time) , but the down time for the application files was about thirty minutes before deciding to rebuild. Besides it gave me the oppurtunity to put in small Enhancements, like On Shutdown and Single Instance.
The Single Instance (MUTEX Class from November '98 FoxPro Advisor) process does not seem to function correctly. So, if I figure out what I missed, the next time the application needs rebuilding, I will be able to enhance it further.
Happy Programming,
Ed B
