I disagree. For many applications, I can think of no better tool. Using frameworks like WWWC and xworks, Web development doesn't get much easier. Any serious ASP app needs to delegate work to COM servers anyway, and VFP really shines here because of its blazing text processing speed.
As for the size issue, one of the internet's busiest e-commerce sites was run (and may still be) with VFP code and data (
www.surplusdirect.com).
