What do you mean by "Multiline grid of a combo"? Does it mean that you have a grid which have a combobox in one of it's column and that combo have 3000 lines? IMHO, a combobox with more that 100-500 items is pretty much useless. And if you have a combobox to fill for each record of the grid, I have no doubt that this will take 5 minutes to load. You might try a different approach. Like making your grid read-only and using a second form for data entry.
