George, that was an awful thing to happen. A co-worker of mine was robbed earlier this year. I thought about it a lot and I can only imagine how tramatic it would be. I look around my house and realize the sentimental value of so many things. I am sorry this happened to you and your family.

Take care,
Joe

>I'm not trying to defend Ed with what I'm about to write, merely trying to point out that I may have some understanding of why his reaction was the way it was. Of course, this is based only on my own experience, and not anything I know about Ed.

>Have you ever been robbed, Joe? I sincerely hope not. Unfortunately, last April 29th, my home was broken into, all of my wife's jewelry was stolen, and my hand-made, 32 year old classical guitar was smashed to bits. To say the least, I was outraged. So much so, that I stayed home from work for a couple days in the hope that the scum would return and I could get my hands on them. By nature, I'm anything but a violent person, but that's the type of emotion it aroused in me. So when someone says "theft" to me, naturally some of that will be evoked. Because of that, when dealing with this subject, I may be a little less than tactful. I don't know if Ed's ever had a similiar experience, but based on my own experience, I can both understand and forgive his remarks.
