Erik,
I read the two responses (Glen C. & Edward P.) but they may not allay your concern, so here's my effort. . .

FoxPro (FPD, FPW or VFP stores dates *internally* with the FULL CENTURY included. It has always been there and has always been able to store values like 2000, 2001, etc.
SET CENTURY gives added control over display/printing of the date, and the new VFP 5.0 ROLLOVER clause even lets you more automatically handle the advent of Jan 1, 2000.

So, to answer your question: most of us only have concerns as regards those reports where we saved some space to SHOW only two characters, so some readers might get confused.

regards,
Jim N.

>Is anyone else out there concerned that VFP (to my knowledge) doesn't offer a date field format which will store the century? Any app that I create that uses dates in the calculations will become useless on Jan 1, 2000. Is there an option or switch somewhere that enabled 8 digit date storage, or is the only solution to create my own date format in a text field? Was this addressed at devcon or any other events?
