in the old days i was able to get by with a flasing proceesing... on dos screen to let my users know that their app. was running. i see that vfp has progress boxes showing percentage complete when someting is going on. I tried using the progress thermometer but that does not seem to do what i am looking for. The problem is if you dont know how long a process will take or dont know what the increment of the progress bar will be how do you apply this.

any suggestions. it seems as though i am completely overlooking something.
