Bearing in mind that I'm doing a major legacy conversion from Fox 2.6 dos to vfp 6 and need, for the time being to use the dos dbfs, particularly as I'm gradually training my users to use the vfp modules on exactly the same data.

Why am I getting 'Index does not match the table' (etc) with a file in vfp that the dos version says is perfectly OK (and works happily with)

I've even taken the precaution of programmatically recreating the index and even the freshly created file produces the same response.

Is there some known conflict between what vfp recognises as a valid index and fox for dos? And do I need to worry about it?
