When I make changes via GenDbcX, I just update the output of GenDbcX and run the program (in the data directory) passing the procedure name as the parameter. When I first tried this, I got an error (I don't remember what). I modified GenDbcX to use macro substitution instead of an evaluate. I sent an E-Mail to Steve Arnott at the time, but didn't hear back.
Since I maintain common views for 2 applications in both VFP and SQL Server, this has proved to be the quickest method for certain changes. It just depends on the task...
