It gets records inserted into it from a VFox 6 app. In the Dos program a seek does not find the record, however, a seek directly from the command line does find it. I have created a test program that just opens the file and does a seek. This will not find the record.

Hi Rob:

There have been a couple of threads the last few days like this one... Try to search for them by subject... The most common reason why this corruption seems to be happening is with folks who are trying to use a date-type CDX tag with VFP6 strictdate set ON... We use FP-2.x tables from VFP with no problems, but still have strictdate off (until we are ready to 'cut the cord' from FP-2.x).

HTH
