Thanks for your help. I do realize what you're saying. One thing that might make a difference is that I'm using VFP 3, which was introduced right about the time Microsoft was making the Win 3.1/95 transition. But obviously, it's not working. Thanks for your explanation of Win32S - quite interesting.
This project I'm doing is actually quite specialized - it's only going to be used on one computer for a 911 display terminal. As such, I'd like the terminal to be as simple as possible...like a 486 with Win 3.1. 99% of the machines I develop "normal" stuff for are running Win9x, but this ONE app I'd like to stick with 3.1 if possible.
Unfortunately, that doesn't look like it's going to happen. Ever tried to run Win 95 on a 486/33 with 4 MB RAM? :-)
