Hi Gerard. I just looked up the speed of ISDN.

Normal: 128kps
Broadband: 2mbps

The best way to determine this is to test it under normal network load (with all the other apps using it). I would say that 128kbps is most definitely far too slow and won't be usuable. 2mbps should be fast enough, depending what else is using the connection.

Other options if the line is too slow.
- use remote control like pcanywhere (need extra pcs for remote users)
- use citrix (like pcanywhere but the sessions run off of the remote server). Can be quite expensive
- use a backend server like sql server and only send the necessary data over the wire. You will have to rewrite your app.
- create a server in VFP that runs on NT server to respond to data requests

Each of these options requires time and/or money to implement.

Others may have more/better ideas.

>I'm about to install a FPW 2.6 app into a company with following setup:
>Location a: NT File Server with 7 workstations
>Location b: NT file server with 6 workstations
>Both NT servers connected by an ISDN line
>Users in both sites will want simultaneous access to the app for viewing/updating so I was going to load the APP in location A and give location B acces to it.
>I'm just wondering are the users at location B going to be very ssslow for acessing.
