>This is a summary of a thread that ran under Databases, tables, etc. Form2 is called from Form1. In Form2 three free tables are used to perform various steps that include sql statements, deleting, appending from arrays and zapping prior to releasing the form. It works fine as a project. When I build an exe and run it in its own folder I get a "file access is denied" error. I tried running the exe in its folder from the vfp dev environment to use the debugger. It again works fine unless I call the debugger. If the debugger window is activated I get a "source not available" message in the trace window. I tried running the exe on another machine, but no luck. The tables are all exclusive = .T. One table includes a memo field and I have been careful to include the proper FPT file in the folder. Any ideas?

Peter,
Make sure your tables are marked as excluded from the project. If you include them, they are built into the EXE and are read only.

Make sure your SET PATH includes the directories containing your source files.
