>I was wondering if anyone have any idea on how to detect if the indexes is corrupted. I written a program which I put on a NT Server. The program and its data reside on the server and it is called by about 80 workstation and the tables are connected through out the day. I found out that even when one or more table indexes is corrupted the system still continue working. I also notice that when I do a 'SEEK' to these corrupted table it points me to a wrong record in the table. I have put some code to make sure that the updated record is the one I need to update. However, this still is a problem for me when I need to add a new record if it does not already exist. If you have any suggestion, it will be greately appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Rather than try to detect the corruption, find out what is causing the index problems and fix that. There is an article on data corruption on my web site that may give you some pointers.
