I once did the same thing and found the same thing happening. Don't remember what it was now, but when I did a painstaking comparison of my generated FRX's to those layed out visually, I found differences. Once I had pounded out every difference, it stopped happening.
>I'm trying to create FRX files programmatically, populating FRXes with fields from some old reports that are converted from another database.
>
>That works good in many cases.
>
>However, in some others, it seems that fields that are in the FRX are just "invisible", for example, the FRX generated has 90 records, then I manually MODIFY REPORT that FRX, notice that many of the fields are missing and after saving it, 80 fields disappear and only 10 are left.
>
>I suspect that some of these fields may be positioned outside their header bands or detail bands or whatever.
>
>Is there some semi-comprehensive documentation anywhere on the web about how the FRX files work?
>
>I'm mainly interested in the positioning of fields relative to the different report bands.

>Thanks in advance for any advice!
