Thanx Ed, that makes sense. I'm not sure whether they are using a shortcut or just double clicking the exe. Either way, the resource files should be located in the startup directory.

One thing else. In the same directory I have another application that serves as the startup app. It checks if I have placed a new exe in a special directory on the network, if so, it downloads it to the client. It then starts the main app. So, there are actually two exe's in the startup directory. What impact does that have on the resource file creation?

One last thing: I think these people are on their own local Novel net that reaches out to the main net where the data resides.
