If this is a 2.x for DOS... try setting the memory to an explicit amount rather than using the Auto setting (Right-click icon, choose properties, then memory) I have not set up a Fox app in Win 98, but this can make a difference in Win 95 and Win NT.
If this is a 2.x for Windows app... I'm afraid I can't remember if Win95/NT will make memory settings for Windows 3 programs or not. You might try setting an upper limit in the MemLimit command in the config.fpw.
Finally, if this is happening with FPW2.x list boxes on a fast machine, you may have bumped into one of the "fast amchine" problems. There is a workaround for the list box Out of Memeory problem. As I recall, you put some code in one of the clauses to slow the list box. I am sure there is something in the UT FAQ on this.
Good luck tracking it down,
David.
