Not a problem. I've been where you are now...I had to do all the initial investigation and standardization of using VFP and VSS together when we got VS5. A couple of things FYI:

1. Don't allow multiple checkouts of the same file. I've found and heard VSS's merge capabilities are flaky at best.
2. When VFP is integrated with VSS you can use the Project Manager and VSS Explorer to check in/out files and it will be reflected in both. The only exception is updating the PJM file.

Now that we've been using it for a while I've found VSS to be a great tool and not only use it for my VFP files. I use it for version control on old Fox 2.x programs, documentation in MS Word and my HTML help files.
