>Not a problem. I've been where you are now...I had to do all the initial investigation and standardization of using VFP and VSS together when we got VS5. A couple of things FYI:

You're being kind, especially when talking about class libraries, forms and the like.

>2. When VFP is integrated with VSS you can use the Project Manager and VSS Explorer to check in/out files and it will be reflected in both. The only exception is updating the PJM file.

And the ??A files, which are the basis for checking in/out ??X/??T pairs. You can and will hurt yourself if you check in class libraries by hand without updating the VCA. I've hurt myself a couple of times this way when dealing with systems that had slightly different system times, so that date/time stamps were squirrely.

>Now that we've been using it for a while I've found VSS to be a great tool and not only use it for my VFP files. I use it for version control on old Fox 2.x programs, documentation in MS Word and my HTML help files.

>>Thanks this helped quite a bit. I have some other questions that I do not know how to verbalize yet. Mainly in the area of multiple developers in the same project. I need to run some test to gain expercience for questions.
>>
>>I am at a company that is about to move to VFP 6 from 5. They do all VSS stuff from within VSS at the moment.
>>
>>I am the only developer fully in VFP 6. I am also the point man on figuring out how to run with VSS from within VFP6.

>>Thanks again.
