>We have been asked to find out the feasibility of converting our
>application (currently written in Foxpro 2.6) for the far-east (China,
>Korea, Japan) market. We are trying to understand what it would involve
in
>term of impacts to the operating system and development environment. From
>what we’ve found so far, we would first need a MBCS (MultiByte Character
>Set) version of Foxpro, and then a far-east version of Windows.
VFP3.0b has double byte support (and so does VFP5.0)
>We also use many third-party libraries in our product, and we have
written
>many .FLLs (in C) to interface them with Foxpro. What problem should we
>expect in converting these FLLs to an MBCS platform
u will need your .FLLs etc to work with unicode (double byte) rather than
the more commun single byte
(there are functions for converion in the win32API)
