I dont know if mindspring is a web based email system like hotmail or lycosemail.

If it is: you should be able to access it from any GUI internet connection ask your travel agent or search for Cyber cafes in or around cancun they might be costly but if you're actually going to checking email while in cancun its probably worth it

If it isnt as web based email system : consider getting a web based email account--many are free (with conditions of course). then temporarily forward your mindspring email to that account.

I have a web based account and it has been useful because my job email changes every couple of years and my home email has changed several times as I've changed Internet service providers .

I've been able to use my mail box as a storage device--(i.e if someone needs a copy of my resume all i need is an internet terminal -- I emailed my resume to that account)

Many old friends dont know my current address or where I'm currently working but they do know that email adresss it's permanent (save the downfall of Lycos).
