Well, I think most of us FEEL this way, but when i'm trying to rationalize, I can get any clues of proof that it works this way. I suspect that we are blinded because of the past we carry along. I don't say that naming conventions never was a Good idea, but in the world of OOP, NON strict typed languages and the ability to use long variable names, it seems to have lost it's added value.

AS stated in the original message, I still have doubts myself, any example of good use of naming conventions is welcome to build my opinion.
