My comments are my own. I know nothing about what will or will not be on the exams other than what has been published on the mcp web site.. If the exam has you write stored procedures, that is clearly not correct. However, you should know how to make a connection, deal with keys, handle stored procedures, Remote views, SQL Passthrough, upsizing wizard, datatype handling, nulls, etc.

I think some SQL experience will be needed. It could be more than 3 months.

IMO, VB syntax/scripting does not have a place on the VFP exam. There are exams for VB and Office that should handle this. You should know how to do a CREATEOBJECT, etc.

I think it's clear from the study guides that ADO is important. MAPI? It shouldn't be. MS wants to test core competency, not fringe stuff.

There should be things about VFP base classes, but it shouldn't be very much.

The most important thing is that everyone take the exam. This is the best way to show MS that VFP is important! Believe me when I tell you that MS executives are watching this very closely. If very few people take the VFP exam, it will not help things in the future. If lots take the exam, it will do wonders for us VFP developers and high-up MS execs will take notice.
