Not sure WHERE to post this; here goes....:

My 17" Dell Trinitron monitor at work is badly smudged and EVERYTHING I have tried has not worked.... windex, glass plus, all the special "for cleaning CRT screens", anti-static/cleaners, even nail polish remover was suggested by someone.... I think it is some residue from Post-It notes, hand oils, or G-d knows what.... or possibly the monitor glass has some moisture behind the glass that cannot be removed??

Has anyone ever had this problem... maybe should I try ammonia or some other super-strong solvent.... or call Dell to get a replacement monitor??
