Hello Bruno,

We used Scantron to scan in time records and work activites - mostly blacking out a box for the activity.

The machine comes with software to read the input form and then dumps it into a file. It been a long time since I worked on the system - but as I remember it was either either a comma delimited or ascii file.

The system worked fined and saved significant key stroking. We used it for approximately 1000 employees every two weeks.

I would advise getting the maintenance package as it would get out of sync at time and we needed to ship it back to get it working again. Turn around time was fast.

I have left that company and understand it is still working as originally written.

>Hello all,

>Does anyone have any knowledge/experience regarding scanning systems which have the capacity to scan answer forms. By answer forms, I mean a form where someone gets to mark of circles with a pencil which relate to answers of an exam. This would be scanned to populate a VFP database to generate results, reports, statistics, etc.

>My guess is that most scanners will do, its a question of aquiring software which will:
a) allow us to create the forms containing all possible answers
b) recognize the forms upon scanning and dump the answers in a text delimited file or directly in the database.

>Any feedback on this, especially referal to specific products would be very much appreciated.

>Thank you all,
