No, in switching to Win95 and switching from using the real mode Novell drivers, the setting for FILE HANDLES = in SHELL.CFG or NET.CFG no longer has any effect; you can increase the FILES= setting in CONFIG.SUS to a value up to 255; beyond that things tend to break (ie it gets ignored.)
