I was given a Mr. Wizard project, which five programmers tried to "fix". I was paid $500 for eight hours work (I needed the money, and had nothing to do about fixing the time/price). Well, it took forty hours to fix it, and what I did was to blow away all the code, put my foundation library under the project, and it worked great. The good part of the story is this: The client was so happy with the result, that I got add on work, that paid me more than the corporation that wrote the original application was paid for all it's work! By the way, this was no small project. Never use a Wizard! For you "Old Timers", remember Jenifer, in dBase III? She was a real wizard.
