Or use Clipper -- they drove all their developers to FoxPro by forcing a pseudo-C syntax on them with Clipper-5x. Personally, I find the 2nd line MUCH easier to understand, and its consistent with any other mathematical or concatenation formula.

Thanks for your comment. I wasn't thinking of it as forcing 'C' type coding. I coded in C many years ago and do NOT miss it! VFP is a much better language and environment in my humble opinion. It's just a short cut I like, just like the ! instead of NOT in a conditional. It was just a thought.
