Unfortunately, that is the way much of the existing work was done by a previous programmer. I have considered incorporating them into a dbc for several reasons, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
I presume the SQL statement would be tied to the rowsource property of the grid itself? Also, I'm not sure why you recommend the parameterized invoice number. Couldn't the orderID (same thing) be part of the SQL statement?
