When a picture of the current object is available to a user, a button appears (PICTURE.Enable= .T. if FILE(part_no+'.bmp'))...

When I pull up a picture in any other application (other than this FoxPro process) the Bitmap is crisp and sharp but ...

The user clicks Picture (a form opens whose picture property is set to the filename) but the image is "Yucky".

How can that image be cleaned?
The .jpg files are smaller, is their a way to have FoxPro use them instead of bmp's?

I can not use the picture field to contain the image - as the overall performance of the application is negatively felt. Any other suggestions? All comments welcome!
