Money to burn? I have to disagree here. What does it cost to order paper that has alternating colours? We have an HP 4si at just about every workstation. A 4si is what a lot of companies would use as a workgroup printer. We save a tonne of money by doing things this way...for reasons that would only bore you :-)

>However, I got this to work in an HP 5Si using 2 trays. By clicking File, Page Setup from the VFP menu while designing the report, I could specify the trays to use. In the Page Setup dialog, click the Print Setup button. From the Print Setup dialog, click the Properties button. On the Paper tab, I selected the Different Paper for First Page option. I was then able to specify Tray 2 for the first page and Tray 3 for all other pages. I suspect this will be the best you can do.

Just wanted to add that the EXPR field could then be examined and a program could be written to fix reports before a compile....it has worked well for me at least...this way when I change a report, my default printer settings don't mess other things up...

I guess every case is different...to know what is expensive in their case is up to them really.

Take care,
