Tell me about the ice storm... Some peoples here were without electricity for more than a month, when the temperature was well bellow the freezing mark. We were glad that workers from the States came to give us a hand. Now, it's our turn to return the favor, some workers from Hydro-Quebec are interrupting their strike to give the affected area in the States a hand in rebuilding their electricity distribution lines.
>Well, when I say the winds never got real high, I mean like 90 mph. They were over 50, I think. There were a lot of news items this morning showing trees through house roofs, cars smashed by trees, power outages, and live wires in the DC area. But it was nothing like the Big Ice Storm in January that mainly hit just my local area in MD. In fact, I think that helped spare my area yesterday, all the precarious trees had already been toppled during the ice storm :)
