Hi Sheena.
The answer to this depends on the relationship between the forms. Do they each have their own data environment? If the second form is tied to the first, meaning that the first has a Private datasession and the child form has the Default datasession, then no Refresh is necessary, the two will be in-sync.
Also, is the second form ever closed? It almost sounds like you're leaving it open. That shouldn't matter, though.
