>>What's the standard for screen resolution for forms that are to be included in over-the-counter software to be sold in stores and used in homes and businesses.
>>
>>I always thought/assumed it was 640x480. Or is it 800x600 now? I know it also depends on the application, but as a rule or on average what is considered the best screen resolution to use when developing a form in VFP that might some day be sold to the general public?

>>What do you think? Thanks for your input.

>I'll agree with others that it depends on the market you're aiming for. I do have friends who are still on 640x480. However, I would add that at some point in time, technology must move on...In the same way DOS is dying and as been replaced by Windows, 640x480 should be looking towards a near death experience and give way to 800x600 as a minimum.

>My 2 cents worth...
DOS is alive and well in many businesses. If it wasn't for Y2k, I think it would be around 100 years from now. So many places don't want to upgrade. I think you'll find that monitors are the same.
