Well, a lot has changed since VB5. They now have something called "Data component wizard" that resembles the function of the data environment in VFP forms. It'll let you bind controls to any OLEDB source without writing any code. Combine that to the ability to create ActiveX components, and that may be what Sylvain is referring to.
