I made a typo in my reply. I wanted to say "it is good for building specialized COM objects that does not use data".

VB can access any data of course, but it will never be as fast as VFP on that issue.
>Well, a lot has changed since VB5. They now have something called "Data component wizard" that resembles the function of the data environment in VFP forms. It'll let you bind controls to any OLEDB source without writing any code. Combine that to the ability to create ActiveX components, and that may be what Sylvain is referring to.
