Thanks. That at least gives me a point of discussion. I wonder, is VSS "better" than PVCS in any way; functionality, compatibility with VFP, security, etc.? They wiped out PVCS, so that initial install/setup is gone. So, now they want to start using source control (again) but now are questioning which is best to use, and of course there's that PVCS cheerleader, but he can't get it to do what we need it to do, as in the security thing AND using source control from WITHIN VFP.

>I thought this was who you were talking about. When that project was very first brought into PVCS about two years ago, a consultant from whoever owned PVCS at the time came out and set it all up. We could do check in, check out, etc via VFP. In fact, he mentioned that VFP had a better interface into PVCS than VB, Delphi, or Powerbuilder.
