It isn't designed for serious development. Yes, you can create programs with it, but you can also create programs with Excel or Word. They all support VBA. VFP is a developer tool. It comes with Visual Studio, another developer tool. VFP is fully object-oriented and has the fastest database engine.

If the end-users want to create thier own applications, then Access wins hands down. That's about the only strength Access has over VFP.
