>Clarification: This is NOT a program created by us, but the company which made this program is telling us this is a network error, now while that may be true...you'd think they'd put some better error handling routine in effect to catch this and report more clearly on it...anyone have any suggestions?
Some things:
- if you are using Netware, get the latest patches for both the client and server
- insist that the company that supplied the VFP code provide a error handler so that they and you can troubleshoot the exact code with the problem
If the database vendor isn't going to help you with this, you might have to do more troubleshooting:
- can you cause the table corruption to occur consistently? (IE, does it always happend after 50 records, or just sometimes)
- can this be repeated by the same user but on a different workstation
- can this be repeated by a different user on the same workstation
- can this be repeated on another LAN entirely? (another on in your company or the vendors LAN)
- can this be repeated with the fox tables loaded on a workstation
